Now, D Magazine has offered its list of suggestions on how to do that, and its recommendations include enjoying the weekend with DFW Elite Auto Rental.coms exclusive Drive Your Dream tours.


The cover story of the magazines May issue, titled The New Dallas Weekend, touts a list of 48 great ways to spend the hours between Friday and Monday. Or, as they call it, 48 Cool Things to do This Summer. Included on the list is a recommendation to Pretend youre a super-rich moonshiner and take a driving tour through the backroads of the northern Hill Country as part of a Drive Your Dream tour. You get to take turns with four other drivers behind the wheels of a Bentley Continental GT, a Ferrari F430, a Ford GT, a Lamborghini Gallardo and Porsche 911 Turbo, the magazine explained, referencing the 2,500 HP Tour. Each cranks out about 500 horsepower so DFW DYD leads the tour with a radar detector-equipped Bandit, and all cars have two-way radio.


The adventure is one of several that the magazine compiled and explained, providing a variety of options for Dallasites as well as for those who are just in Texas for the weekend. The story was compiled by the staff of D Magazine
