The black Suburban is designed for Level 3 protection, as classified by the U.S. Military. So, although it looks like a typical Suburban, its bullet resistant glass and ballistic steel plates can withstand gunshots from weapons such as .30 Carbine, a .44 Magnum or a 12-gauge shotgun. The  undercoating can resist the shock effects of any explosive charge, including land mines and grenades, and even nails, spikes and bullets cant deflate the steel-reinforced Run-Flat tires.
