If an event is rescheduled by us, please revisit the website to reschedule.
Why you should choose DFW Drive Your Dream
Why is DFW Drive Your Dream the best choice?
We have one of the best selections of exotic automobiles in the state of Texas. We pride ourselves on the quality of our vehicles and the meticulous preparation that goes into each event. Also, because of our success and proven staying power, we have a full staff and facility to serve your needs. Our headquarters is approximately 16,000 square feet.
Do you really have the cars you advertise? What makes your agency different from other exotic car agencies?
Because of the cost of maintaining a fleet of such vehicles, other companies borrow cars from other markets. This makes it hard to promise or guarantee reservations and almost impossible to control the quality of the vehicles. Our fleet is in our physical showroom. If you have concerns about the availability of our cars, please make a visit, and compare us to others in the marketplace. We look forward to your personal visit with or without an appointment. Our owner has been serving the automotive needs of North Texas for over 30 years from the same location, and had the same Texas Dealer’s license since 1977. We have no "investors" to satisfy, only our customers. Again, we look forward to your visit, and encourage you to compare our fleet, our staff and our facility to others in the marketplace. All client information will be kept in strictest confidence.
How long before an event must I make the reservation?
You should contact us and make a deposit as soon as you decide upon the date of your event.
Is a deposit required?
Deposits are not generally required; please call to find out.
Can I reserve a tour at the last minute?
Last minute reservations are handled at the discretion of Drive Your Dream. We MUST be able to contact your insurance agent to confirm your adequate insurance coverage. This may be difficult as most Drive Your Dream events fall on weekends.
Can I change the date of my event?
With 72 hours notice you are able to reschedule your event. There is a $50 fee for this service.
Do we get to drive all of the cars listed or all the cars that are on our tour?
You will drive four of the vehicles listed. Our intended and primary list of vehicles is shown. If we need to substitute a vehicle we will do so with an comparable vehicle. We may add vehicles according to the size of the group. The route is marked with driver and car change points where you switch over so you get to drive four vehicles over the course of the day.
Will I be allowed to really "get on it" when I drive the cars?
Modern "hot rods" as some might refer to the cars on our tours, are more civil but powerful than ever. Our tours are designed for the enthusiast that wants to savor the elegance and raw power of the cars. The tours are not designed for drag racing or round and round racers. To that end, our routes are carefully chosen to allow drivers to enjoy the full spectrum of features each car has. Also, the tour director may have a designated stop on the tour where participants can experience the full power of the vehicles with proper instruction and minimum risk to all parties, and of course to the car!
What if the car "blows up" while I have it?
We have nearly new (often times brand new!) cars in our fleet. It is rare for one to give up, although it can happen. You are responsible for items damaged while in your care and custody, unless it obvious that there was a factory defect. Of particular instance are the clutches in many of the cars. They can be burned up VERY QUICK if abused, and can easily cost $10,000, which would be the driver’s responsibility. Ask your tour guide if you are uncomfortable with the controls of the car, you have a duty to understand them. Simply turning off the traction control (or other electronic system), or setting other combinations of controls in the wrong manner can allow massive damage, including over revving or many other problems, and can also cause accidents.
What if we have never driven a specific vehicle previously?
Not a problem. Prior to a tour commencing we will take the time to brief each participant regarding the specifics of each automobile. The "briefing" will cover vehicle operation and necessary information about the routes. Every driver will be required to sign a disclaimer before driving and will agree to follow Drive Your Dream rules.
Can you create a custom itinerary for our group?
Absolutely! There are numerous ways our Tour Directors can customize a package to fit a group or corporate event. just call us at (214) 247- 4700 from Dallas or (817) 838 RENT from Ft. Worth for information.
What happens if we get lost?
Don’t worry! We provide detailed maps called rally guides and exchange cell numbers at the start of the day. Walkie-talkies are provided as well!
Are there any additional fees.
No! We don’t do hidden fees, the price you see is the price you pay plus 10% state tax.
Are the cars difficult to drive?
Each car will be covered at the briefing. Some of the vehicles have a stick shift or manual gearbox. These gearboxes are racing gearboxes and require experience. If you have not driven with a manual transmission before we recommend that you practice prior to the event with another car. All the other cars have an "automatic mode".
What is the dress code?
Drive Your Dream rally courses are chosen for their atmosphere. We request that each participant be dressed accordingly. Sport casual is ideal. The pedals on some of the cars are close together so sport shoes are a good choice. Please be careful not to wear a belt or pants with metal decorations, as they will damage the seat leather. No safety equipment is required.
Why a tour director?
The tour director plays an important role in organizing the rally and educating the drivers regarding the vehicles.
What type of vehicle does the tour manager drive?
The Tour Manager’s vehicle will be a sedan or SUV so that it can accommodate additional participants and tour gear.
What if I am uncomfortable with my assigned partner or feel that there are unsafe driving practices?
In the event that you feel uncomfortable with another participant please inform the Tour Manager of your concerns. We will make a reasonable effort to accommodate requests. Any person engaging in activity the Tour Manager feels to be unsafe and dangerous will forfeit their right to drive at our discretion with no refund.
